            Co-Founder

is a technical designer and creator with 20+ years as a professional business manager in the emerging tech and entertainment fields. He has a proven background in tech industry leadership, consulting, go-to-market strategy, and product life cycles. In addition, he has built and led teams of specialists to execute industry-leading business solutions; designed, planned, pitched, and commercialized cutting-edge products and services; and consulted for the tech industry’s top companies. In the entertainment and event production industry, he has worked as a designer, creator, and leader in logistics, operations, stage design, club lighting, high-tech installations, and projection mapping; from concept to live operations.  He is a veteran music producer under the alias Drawbird and functional head of stage/club immersive lighting events and builds with the Seattle-based visual art crew Triangularis Interactive (formerly ImmersionXR).

as the frontman of a rock band-turned-electronic outfit in the late 90s while simultaneously working as a projectionist. During this time, performing under the flicker of stage lights, he realized the transformative power and potential of lighting and atmospherics. Ian expanded the band, adding a member to explicitly control lighting and effects, and constructed a custom lighting rig for traveling performances — but his creative vision transcended the confines of traditional performance.

With a continuing desire to push the boundaries of what was possible with new technology, Ian envisioned a frontier where auditory, visual, and physical elements intertwined seamlessly. After building a successful professional career in emerging technology, Ian merged his creative vision with his technical expertise, combining music with art installations, performance with interactivity, and infusing his creations with a kaleidoscope of sensory experiences.

Ian continues to forge art from a crucible of futuristic hardware – including XR, AI, projection mapping, and lasers. Through collaborations with enterprise technology companies, museums, exhibitions, and arcades, he has unlocked the potential of proof-of-concept experimentation, weaving narratives and solutions that bridge the realms of business, technology, art, and entertainment.

against the backdrop of a lifelong fascination with visual art. As an accomplished musician,  production and performance took center stage for a decade – but he has always considered the experience of composing music inherently visual, with sounds being represented by both geometry and color.  Evan attributes this association to early synesthetic experience, sitting behind his parents’ stereo cabinet as a boy, listening to classical music, and flying through the worlds invoked by the music.

Evan’s exploration of 3D design began over 25 years ago. On launching his record label he saw the need for visual media to create promotional material. Evan thus dedicated himself to mastery of proper print design, web, motion graphics, animation, 3D rendering, and illustration. Traditional programs required arduous, multi-day rendering processes to see results but present-day tools have enabled moving from concept to design in near real-time. These advancements, coupled with the current generation of XR and immersive entertainment, have fed Evan’s passion for expression through visual forms.

through the electronic music community in the early 2000s, where their shared love for audiovisual technology ignited a creative kinship. They first collaborated on a VR installation for the Panorama Music Festival in New York City. Their subsequent conversations and collaborative endeavors revealed a shared passion for audio and visual technology and its power to create intense, memorable experiences for audiences. Together, they glimpsed a horizon ripe with possibilities – a realm where cutting-edge technology merged seamlessly with avant-garde artistry

Triangularis therefore evolved from the crucible of shared passion and visionary zeal. Working carefully to incorporate best practices across multiple industries, the duo has taken on increasingly ambitious and experimental projects, creating new immersive and interactive experiences across multiple mediums.

Ian’s business acumen and creative ingenuity, coupled with Evan’s artistic prowess and technical brilliance, have forged a revelatory partnership. Today, Triangularis stands as a testament to their shared vision: a beacon of innovation and creativity.
